Pool Doctor was started in 1974 by Paul Como, bringing his knowledge of the pool business from his father’s pool store in Florida to Long Island. Through the years he passed on his extensive knowledge of pools and the swimming pool industry to his children - Paul, Christi, and Michael - and they took over when Paul retired in 2016.
At Pool Doctor a family-friendly atmosphere is one of the core values of our business. Whether you need us for a pool opening, product installation, a complete renovation, or simply need water chemistry help and advice, we are here to offer the same outstanding customer service that our customers have come to expect through the years.
I've used several area pool services and parts companies over the years. Pool Doctor is the best. They are knowledgeable and helpful. They understand that I can fix minor things myself and bend over backward to save me money when it's possible. They are reasonable and quick when I need them.
